“For you were called to be free, brothers; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.” (Galatians 5:13)

If we are Christians, then we have been set free from slavery to legalism, from sin, from guilt, and from shame. We cannot use this new found freedom as a pretext to indulge in our fleshly desires and pleasures, which relentlessly pursues us every moment of every day.  Instead, we must, in love, humble ourselves and voluntarily be servants to one another, thinking of others needs before our own.

“I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you don’t do what you want.” (Galatians 5:16-17)

What would happen if every single Christian on the face of the earth started doing this? How about you?

  • How will you obey today’s Scriptures?\
  • With whom will you share today’s scriptures?
  • With whom will you share the story of your salvation and the story of what Jesus has done for you?

In Christ’s love,
