“In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Psalms 56:4)
The question is, who do I trust? Who do I fear? Do I trust my fears, or do I trust God who conquered all fears? As a Christian, courage is not the absence of fear, but doing what is right in God’s sight, despite my fears, even if I have to stand alone or loose my life.
If I truly believe and trust that my God is Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent, then “I WILL NOT FEAR!” Jesus said,
“Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)
The persecuted Christians in one of the closed asian countries have a motto that says:
“If you imprison me, you give me the chance to spread the Gospel openly. If you put me in solitary confinement, you give me the chance to meditate on Scripture and pray. If you beat me, you give me the chance to glorify God. If you seize my home, you give me the chance to travel widely and spread the Gospel. If you kill me, you send me to glory.”
So, who, or what, do you trust? What is your motto? As for me, I will trust Him, I will obey Him, and I WILL NOT FEAR!
In Christ’s love,
